ABOUT ME

Hi!

I am a wife to wonderful man and mom to two little energetic girls, I love my family! I was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico; a beautiful place with awesome people, food, and culture. I moved to Texas at the age of seventeen to attend Bible college; God really changed my life here and has been working in me in wonderful ways. I am far from perfect, but his grace and love are shown to me every day.

At a young age I discovered oil painting, and thanks to my parents' support, I was able to have formal training. Painting was always a beautiful outlet for me, it taught me perseverance, confidence, and to see beauty in our ordinary world. After Bible college, I graduated with a BAS with a Fine Arts major.

Now a days, with two little ones, it gets difficult to just sit down (or stand) for hours to paint, and I have not been able to continue as I did before. I kind of stumbled upon decorating cakes and cookies as I tried to make a pretty looking cake for my daughter's birthday party. Although, I wasn't very good at first, I really enjoyed it and fell in love with creating something pretty for people to enjoy. It was the perfect artistic channel I needed.

I am still learning a lot and trying to get better at it. My hopes for this blog is to share with you what I learn along the way and for you to get inspired to create.
